Journal of Functional Programming

The Journal of Functional Programming (JFP), heretofore owned and published by Cambridge University Press (CUP), is changing hands from 2026 onwards. The new owner/publisher will be the Journal of Functional Programming (JFP) Charity, and we will publish JFP via the Episciences publication platform.

JFP will continue to be fully Open Access after the move, but will switch from Gold OA to Diamond OA: there will be no subscription fee and no publication fee, and all papers will be published under Creative Commons licenses. Back issues will continue to be hosted by CUP.

The new home of JFP is:

jfp.episciences.org

The new website is open and waiting for your submissions! To submit via the Episciences platform, please read the author instructions carefully, particularly the first two sections on "Electronic manuscripts and LaTeX style" and "Submitting your materials". Specifically, if you are using arXiv as the open repository for your submission, please note that you must produce two versions of your paper: one without line numbers (for arXiv) and one with line numbers for reviewing (to attach to your JFP/Episciences submission using the "Cover Letter" field).

For further information, please contact the Editors in Chief: Derek Dreyer and Gabriele Keller.
